TOKUGAWA YORINOBU
Kii Dainagon Yorinobu, son of Ieyasu and ancestor of the Tokugawa Lords of Kishu, was very like his father in his disposition.
He was most of all interested in military affairs, but also he studied Tea under Furuta Oribe and Oda Yuraku, and No drama under Kwanze Kokusetsu and Komparu Taiyu, and became most expart in both.
He was very fond of impressing on his vassals that "the business of samurai is the management of men.
They should not allow themselves to be diverted from by things
Those who do are big fools.
They should always remember the verse :
The true samurai,
When the cherry-viewing's o'er
And he turns back home
Should be quite as pleased to see
By the road the sicklewort."
